According to an official associated with the BCCI, Hardik Pandya will be traveling to Bangalore and report to the NCA for a detailed medical examination. The medical team has conducted scans of his ankle injury, and it appears that administering injections will facilitate a quicker recovery. The BCCI has also consulted with a specialist doctor from England who shares the opinion that Pandya should not participate in the upcoming match against New Zealand.

Hardik Pandya sustained the injury during his ninth over in a game played in Pune against Bangladesh. It was the first over of his quota, and although he started with a dot ball, he conceded two boundaries in the next two deliveries. While trying to halt the aggressive batting display, Pandya slipped and injured his left ankle. Immediate first-aid was provided on the field, and he was given a strapping to stabilize the ankle. Shortly afterward, Pandya left the field.
