Gold and Silver Prices Surge as Navratri Begins
As Navratri kicks off, the gold and silver markets see a significant upswing in prices. In Uttar Pradesh’s bullion market, both gold and silver rates were announced on October 15. With the beginning of Navratri, gold and silver experienced a substantial increase in their prices.

Gold Becomes Pricier by ₹1500
Today, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by ₹1500, reaching ₹60,590. Simultaneously, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold rose by ₹1400, settling at ₹55,550. This marks a notable shift from the stable gold prices observed on the previous day. On Saturday, 10 grams of 24-carat gold were priced at ₹59,060, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold were ₹54,150.
Silver Also Sees a ₹1500 Increase
Silver prices followed a similar trend, increasing by ₹1500. Today, silver became more expensive, reaching ₹74,100 per kilogram. In contrast, silver prices remained stable on Saturday, standing at ₹72,600 per kilogram. These changes coincide with the onset of Navratri, a time when many people choose to invest in gold and silver to honor Goddess Durga.
