BMW has launched its new naked streetfighter motorcycle, the BMW M 1000R, in India. The bike is available in two variants, and pre-orders have already begun. Interested buyers can book the motorcycle with an initial token amount of INR 25,000 through official dealerships or the company’s official website. However, delivery of the bike is expected to take some time, with an estimated arrival date of around January 2024.

The BMW M 1000R falls under the premium motorcycle category and comes with a substantial price tag. The starting price for this motorcycle is INR 33 lakhs, while the top variant, known as the Competition, is priced at INR 38 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 999cc water-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine, which generates 209 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The bike boasts a top speed of 280 kilometers per hour and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds. It offers five driving modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro.

In terms of specifications, the motorcycle features adjustable suspension both at the front and rear, with 45mm USD front forks and a rear mono-shock. It is equipped with a 320mm twin-disc front brake and a 220mm single-disc rear brake. Additionally, it comes with dual-channel ABS.

The bike features a 6.5-inch TFT display and a new start-stop animation. It also includes GPS data logger and lap trigger interfaces. Other features of the motorcycle include full LED illumination, a rear USB charging socket, adaptive turning light, electronic cruise control, and heated grips.
