Akshay Kumar's Latest Movie 'Mission Raniganj' – Box Office Disaster or Hidden Gem

Akshay Kumar’s new film, “Mission Raniganj,” has already been released in theaters. However, the initial response to the film on its first day is not very promising. Booking for “Mission Raniganj” is quite lukewarm, and it seems to be falling short of expectations, considering Akshay Kumar’s track record of delivering blockbuster films.

Yet again the outcome of “OMG 2” gave the feeling that the crowd was eager to see Akshay Kumar on the big screen. Nevertheless, the release of “Mission Raniganj” in theaters is not receiving the kind of response that was anticipated.

Akshay Kumar’s films based on real-life events have been consistently doing well at the box office. “Mission Raniganj” is also based on a real incident, revolving around the heroic efforts of engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who saved the lives of 65 people trapped in a coal mine.

In “Mission Raniganj,” Akshay Kumar depicts the job of Jaswant Singh Gill. However, the film doesn’t seem to have the same impact or excitement that is usually associated with his movies from the start. While the film has reached theaters, its opening day box office collection doesn’t appear to be exceptionally strong.

The advance bookings for “Mission Raniganj” started this week, but reports suggest that even after a full week of bookings, only 7,000 tickets have been sold at National Chains. Independent reports indicate that just over 36,000 tickets have been booked for the film. This relatively slow pace of bookings means that the gross collection for “Mission Raniganj” is expected to be less than one crore rupees on its opening day.

This is a significant departure from Akshay Kumar’s typical box office performance, where his films often cross the one crore rupee mark on the first day of release. While the film’s booking may not be robust, it is receiving positive reviews. If word-of-mouth catches on after the first day, the weekend and evening shows of “Mission Raniganj” could still perform well.

Despite the setback in advance bookings, it remains to be seen if “Mission Raniganj” can benefit from positive word-of-mouth and turn its fortunes around in the coming days.
