The 2nd ODI between India and Australia is set to take place at Holkar Stadium in Indore. In this match, there might be an opportunity for Mohammad Siraj to replace Jasprit Bumrah.

India vs Australia 2nd ODI: The series between India and Australia is gaining momentum after India’s 5-wicket victory in the first ODI in Mohali. With their eyes set on the upcoming World Cup in 2023, India will look to maintain their winning streak.

During the 2nd ODI between India and Australia, all eyes will be on the Indian playing eleven. Some players might be rested to manage their workload, especially considering the scorching heat in Mohali. One prominent name that might be given a break is senior fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

KL Rahul, who opened for Team India in the first ODI with just five bowlers, had to bear the brunt of the Mohali heat and complete his quota of 10 overs. With the upcoming World Cup in mind, the team management will aim to keep key players fresh, possibly affording Jasprit Bumrah some rest. In his place, the number one ODI bowler, Mohammad Siraj, might get a chance.

If no player is injured, the chances of other changes in the Indian playing eleven seem minimal. Ravichandran Ashwin, who was included in the first ODI, might get another opportunity to showcase his skills in the middle overs after he conceded 47 runs for 1 wicket in his ten overs.

As for the Australian team, captain Pat Cummins has already confirmed that Mitchell Starc won’t be available for the second ODI as well. Therefore, changes in the Australian playing eleven are less likely.

Predicted Playing XIs for India vs Australia:

India Playing XI: Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (Captain and Wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj

Australia Playing XI: David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (Wicketkeeper), Marcus Stoinis, Sean Abbott, Pat Cummins (Captain), Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa
